Localities

At the type locality, the Vorontsovskoe deposit, Tur'insk, Turya river, Serovsky District, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, clerite occurs typically as intergrowths with realgar in limestones of the gold deposit. The limestones also contain arsenic-bearing pyrite, cinnabar, orpiment, stibnite, greigite, alabandite, sphalerite, tennantite-tetrahedrite, zinkenite, chalcostibite, aktashite, routhierite and native gold (AM 82.620-621).
