Hydrothermal environments

Zinkenite is a constituent mineral in hydrothermal veins associated with base metal deposits, tin sulphides and sulphosalts (Webmin, HOM). Associated minerals include stibnite, jamesonite, boulangerite, bournonite, plagionite, fülöppite, cassiterite, stannite, andorite, pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and galena. (HOM)

At the Ramona mine, Cripple Creek mining district, Colorado, USA, zinkenite is associated with krennerite. (MinRec 36.2.182)
