Hydrothermal environments

Fülöppite is a rare mineral of hydrothermal origin, (Webmin, HOM) associated with zinkenite, semseyite, fizélyite, andorite, freieslebenite, geocronite, boulangerite, jamesonite, cinnabar, sphalerite, marcasite, quartz and dolomite (HOM).

Localities

At Baia Mare, Maramures, Roumania, fülöppite has been found with sphalerite, quartz, dolomite, sulphur and zinkenite (AM 15.201-202).

At Wet Swine Gill, Coombe Height, Caldbeck, Allerdale, Cumbria, England, UK, the quartz-antimony vein contains an early antimony - iron - arsenic primary assemblage comprising stibnite, berthierite and arsenopyrite, and a later antimony-lead assemblage including zinkenite, fülöppite and semseyite, in massive white quartz (JRS 7.1:36).
