There are two co-type localities, the Ushkatyn No. 3 deposit, Zhayrem, Karazhal, Ulytau Region, Kazakhstan and the
Wanni glacier - Scherbadung area, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland.
At the Ushkatyn No. 3 deposit, Zhayrem, Karazhal, Ulytau Region, Kazakhstan, gasparite-(La) occurs as
minute isometric grains up to 15 μm in size in veinlets in the layered
manganese ore deposit, associated with
friedelite, jacobsite,
pennantite, alleghanyite,
sonolite, sarkinite,
tilasite, retzian-(La),
calcite, rhodochrosite and
hausmannite
(AM 104.10.1469-1480, HOM).
At the Wanni glacier - Scherbadung area, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland, gasparite-(La) occurs in alpine
fissures in a two-mica gneiss
associated with titanite, quartz and
albite
(HOM).
