Localities

At the Qiongmo Au-Se deposit, Zoigê county, Ngawa Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China, trüstedtite occurs in stibnite-quartz-baryte veins in schist. Associated minerals include gold, tiemannite, clausthalite, selenium-bearing famatinite, selenium-bearing gersdorffite, antimonselite, selenium-bearing stibnite, quartz and baryte (HOM).

At the type locality, the Kitka River Valley, Kuusamo, North Ostrobothnia, Finland, trüstedtite occurs in uranium-bearing calcite veins in sills of albite dolerite in schist, as euhedral crystals in clausthalite, associated with penroseite, sederholmite, wilkmanite and kullerudite (AM 50.520. HOM).
