Localities
At the type locality, the Monte Cervandone area, Devero Alp, Baceno, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola Province, Piedmont, Italy,
gasparite-(Ce) occurs as rims to complete pseudomorphs of
synchysite crystal aggregates in fissures mineralised during
amphibolite facies metamorphism of
metasedimentary rock.
Associated minerals include rutile,
anatase, magnetite,
hematite, synchysite-(Ce),
chernovite and cafarsite
(AM 73.1494).
At the Kesebol mine, Strandhem ore field, Åmål, Västra Götaland County, Sweden, gasparite-(Ce) is reported from
the manganese-iron-copper
deposit, where it occurs as yellowish euhedral crystals up to 0.5 mm in size.
Associated minerals include rhodonite,
andradite, Mn2+ dominant
"allanite-(Ce)", chernovite-(Y),
manganese-bearing calcite and
quartz
(EJM 16.111-116).
