Environments

Pegmatites

Hingganite-(Ce) occurs in pegmatites associated with quartz, K-feldspar, albite, zinnwaldite, cassiterite, stokesite, fluorite, chlorite and titanite (HOM), and as overgrowths on hingganite-(Y) (Webmin).

Localities

At the type locality, the Iwaguro Sekizai quarry, Tawara, Hirukawa, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, hingganite-(Ce) occurs in a miarolytic cavity a in granite pegmatite associated with quartz, feldspar, mica, cassiterite, stokesite, fluorite and chlorite (AM 75.432).

At Mount Ulyn Khuren, Altai Range, Mongolia, hingganite-(Ce) occurs in a granite pegmatite. Other minerals found in the pegmatite include zircon, quartz, kainosite-(Y), aegirine, fergusonite-(Y)-β, ilvaite, allanite-(Ce), magnetite, fayalite and fluorite (Minrec 35.2.178).
