Raberite is a relatively new mineral, approved in 2012 and to date (September 2023) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, the Lengenbach Quarry, Fäld, Binn, Goms, Valais, Switzerland, raberite occurs very rarely as euhedral crystals up to 150 μm across associated with yellow needle-like smithite, realgar, hatchite and probable trechmannite, edenharterite, jentschite and two unidentified sulphosalts.
Raberite is opaque with a metallic lustre and a dark brown–red streak (MM 76.5.1153-1163).
