Pegmatites

Localities

At the Stetind pegmatite, Narvik, Nordland, Norway, vyuntspakhkite-(Y) has been found associated with stetindite (AM 95.207).

At Tysfjord, Nordland, Norway, vyuntspakhkite-(Y) has been found associated with
cayalsite-(Y) (AM 101.1920).

At the type locality, Ploskaya Mt, Western Keivy Massif, Keivy Mountains, Lovozersky District, Murmansk Oblast, Russia, vyuntspakhkite-(Y) occurs as two generations of crystals in in small cavities in violet fluorite in amazonite pegmatite. The crystals are slender prismatic, 0.5 to 0.7 mm long and 0.05-0.2 mm thick. Associated minerals include fluorite, gadolinite, xenotime and bastnäsite (AM 69.1190-1196, HOM). It is also found with kenoplumbomicrolite (AM 106.1189).
