Hydrothermal environments

Nickelskutterudite is an arsenic-bearing mineral which occurs in moderate temperature hydrothermal veins associated with arsenopyrite, silver, bismuth, calcite, siderite, baryte and quartz (HOM).

At Ait Ahmane, Bou Azzer, Morocco, nickelskutterudite occurs on nickeline associated with clinosafflorite (MinRec 38.5.385).

At Ightem, Bou Azze, Morocco, nickelskutterudite occurs in a dolomitic carbonate vein with nickeline (MinRec 38.5.385).
