Juxingite is a new mineral, approved in 2024 and to date (September 2026) reported only from the type locality.

Localities

At the type locality, Jiama Cu-polymetallic deposit, Maizhokunggar County, Lhasa, Tibet, China, juxingite was discovered in the skarn-type ore as anhedral droplets and veinlets, pale yellow in colour with a black streak and metallic lustre, a few micrometers to several tens of micrometers in size, in the matrix of bismuth-bearing bornite. The juxingite was formed under medium-high temperature conditions and an intermediate-sulphidation state, and it is associated with the enrichment of gold (AM 111.9.1503-1511.
Associated minerals include andradite, anhydrite, bornite, calcite, chalcocite, chalcopyrite, chlorite group minerals, covellite, digenite, diopside, epidote, fluorite, hornblende, petzite, pyrite, quartz, tetrahedrite subgroup minerals, tremolite, wittichenite and wollastonite (Mindat).
