Wakabayashilite occurs as fibres in druses of quartz or embedded in calcite (Webmin).

Localities

At Jas Roux, La Chapelle-en-Valgaudemar, Gap, Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France, wakabayashilite is associated with chabournéite, pierrotite, parapierrotite, stibnite, pyrite, sphalerite, twinnite, zinkenite, madocite, andorite, smithite, laffittite, routhierite, aktashite, realgar and orpiment (HOM).

At the type locality, the Nishinomaki mine, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, wakabayashilite occurs as minute fibres up to 0.5 cm long in druses of quartz. Associated minerals include realgar, orpiment, stibnite and pyrite (AM 57.1311-1312).

At the White Caps Mine, Manhattan, Manhattan Mining District, Toquima Range, Nye County, Nevada, USA, wakabayashilite occurs as golden yellow fibres up to 2 cm long or as prisms embedded in calcite, associated with realgar and orpiment (AM 57.1311-1312, CM 13.418-419).
